It's a herbaceous plant with an erect stem and Ramos high up to 80 cm. bearing large leaves and pennatosette segmented. Breaking the fragile stalks out "is a lattice of intense rich yellow color of active medicated.
The beginning of flowering of chelidonia coincides with the return of the swallows and for this reason it was named from Greek means precisely "swallow" (chelidòn).
